Cat and Dog Grooming

Grooming your pet is important for maintaining a good looking coat and also to ensure that your pet's 'clothing' is working efficiently.

Before and After grooming - catWhen your cat or dog develops knots in its fur from lack of grooming, it is more likely to trap moisture and dirt, and increases the risk of infection. Big clumps of fur would also cause some level of discomfort for the animal.

There is good grooming equipment available for purchase at all of our clinics, and if you need any advice do not hesitate to ask one of the staff members for advice. If you feel that your pet's fur has become totally unmanageable or getting knots out is too painful or too dangerous (your pet finds being groomed really offensive!), then the clinic does provide a grooming service that involves sedation. Grooming under sedation lowers the level of stress for the animal and reduces the risk of injury to you and your pet.

If you think your pet needs grooming, or have tried but been unable to groom them, give your clinic a call and organise an appointment to have your pet groomed by one of our staff. You and your pet won't regret getting rid of all that excess fur.
